The birth of your candle.
The first time I felt inspired to create candles was when I was about fourteen years old and my mom, being the crafty woman she is decided to hollow out an acorn squash and fill it with some canning paraffin from the grocery store. I was amazed over how the wax took the form of the vegetable as she peeled away the skin of the squash. Then later, when I became a young adult, I met some people in Ohio that started making candles to sell for additional income. I ordered a couple candles from them and was able to watch the real process of home-based candle making. I was again completely enthralled with the idea. My mind began spinning with all the creative possibilities. I was re-inspired and came home excited to create my first prototype.
When I finally decided to try my hand at candle making I made sure that I made them from my own “consumer standpoint” for quality. I wanted each candle to appeal to all the senses. They are generously scented but not overwhelming, achieving a very satisfying balance.
Each of my candles are handcrafted in every sense of the word. Much thought and time is put into each design that also harmonizes with the scent. They are very fresh as they are made daily and stocked on the shelves. Due to the process of hand-pouring, each candle will have its own unique characteristics, not one will be identical. I am positive that you will love these candles as much as I love creating them!
